Chery Cars - China’s Solution to Over-Population?!
Its a car!! But what’s disturbing is that its Made in China?! Talk about SUICIDE… Is the Chinese population once again over-the-top that they are forced to manufacture such products?!?! GENOCIDE!!! Anyone up for a fear-factor challenge??
Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997 by five of Anhui’s local state owned investment companies with an initial capitalization of RMB 1.752 billion. Plant construction commenced on March 18, 1997 in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. The first car was produced on December 18, 1999. (read more, taken from sulit.com.ph)
Contrary to popular belief that Chery, being manufactured by China, is most likely a poor quality product, has quite a background of its own; Even some certifications like ISO9001 International Quality System and ISO/TS16949 Quality Management System Certification from Germany TUV in 2001 and 2002 - heck, I have got no clue what these certifications are for, but what I do know is that it would not get past German standards if the word Quality is not involved.

So basically Chery is new in the international market but has been there since the late 90s, the only question now is how long would it be before the price of Chery brand cars rise in the global market?
