Designer’s Dilemma

Hack and slash. That’s all there is to say about the game, I may simply be biased about this but as much as I enjoy the playing the game, a hack-and-slash game will always be just that.

Great graphics, one of the best I’ve seen in a hand held gaming device to date, but if you’re looking for challenge, this is not the game for you. I’m not really sure about other hack-and-slash games but this is WAY TOO EASY.

The game kind of reminds me of Diablo 2 with the advent of the Barbarian character, who just so happens to look quite like Kratos (Character in GOW), only a lot easier to kick some monster butt in this game; Controls are as basic as it can get without having to sacrifice attack moves as well as a some action movements of the character; Hate the fact that I can’t revolve the camera or enter first person POV, as I’m only allowed to see what the game wants me to see, so much for the adult content without first person view control.

Overall, I give this game an 8 out of 10. It’s just not challenging enough, still a good play though.
