Designer’s Dilemma

I’m the type of person who doesn’t like to be idle, hell, I’d much rather work for free than do nothing at all - but of course I wouldn’t do that , and besides, I’ve got a lot of things going on for me, even outside work, so why the heck would I work for free?!?

Guess what I’m trying to point out is that the world is full of people who would grab that opportunity to make you do what they want without having to give anything back at all. Let’s just categorize these types of people simply as “opportunists”, because that’s all there is to what their doing really - they push you, bleed you, and have you work your butt off until there’s nothing more, and when they do reach that point, they push you even more.

Just an advice if you ever get a chance to cross paths with an “opportunist”, if you had not yet already that is, simply push back - that’s all there is to it really. Even when we were growing up, there existed these kinds of people, only referred to as “bullies”, but guess what, everyone knows that a bully can only pick on someone half their size, or those who won’t even try to defend themselves. Which is why in the very same light, an opportunist would only take advantage of a person who refuses to say “enough”. So the next time someone asks you, no matter how rudely or politely you were asked, ask yourself first “am I being taken for granted?” Because if you are, and if you see that same person continuously asking favors the same manner as before, just stop… get that favor, and shove it up his/her ass.

That’s the way to go, I tell you!
