Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather Jr bad mouths MMA

What has the best pound-per-pound fighter has to say about Mixed Martial Arts? Here’s his take on UFC:

“UFC ain’t shit, It ain’t but a fad. Anyone can put a tattoo on their head and get in a street fight. We should put (Chuck)Liddell against a good heavyweight, under Mayweather Promotions, and if Chuck wins, then I’ll give him a million dollars out of my own pocket.” Mayweather then highlights all MMA fighters. “These are guys who couldn’t make it in boxing,” he said. “So they do (MMA). Boxing is the best sport in the world and it’s here to stay.”

Cases like these make Mayweather Jr’s big mouth a money making machine when it comes to promotion which is why him starting his own promotion company is a good idea, but to bad mouth Chuck Liddel and all other Mixed Martial Arts Fighters from the sport is not one would refer to as a smart decision. Well, whoever said he was thinking when he opened his mouth that day anyway. I guess Pretty Boy Floyd is the type you either just hate or just love, no in-betweens. Entertainment at its prime is what I would call him.

Talks of Mayweather fighting in the MMA has been surfacing and though I would personally love to see Floyd Mayweather Jr fight in the octagon against MMA fighters, I’m pretty sure that would never happen as he is so busy making so much money boxing, that it’s just impossible for MMA to afford him. Too bad, he would probably put on a good show win or lose (not to mention sold out seats), plus he’ll have a chance to prove that boxing really is the best sport in the world - as he claims it to be. Guess its all up to him now…

  1. remeber this!

At WWE WrestleMania XXIV on March 30, 2008, Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeated The Big Show by “knockout” after several chair shots, and punching Big Show with brass knuckles.
Mayweather made an appearance at WWE’s No Way Out pay-per-view the previous month, during which he had a confrontation with Big Show and broke Show’s nose after a combination of punches. This led to their WrestleMania feud.

  2. go bac into doing WWE floyd rather than making comments on MMA!

    1. MMA was started by the Brazilians (through The Gracie Challenge and later, The UFC) and the Japanese (through Satoru Sayama’s creation of Shootboxing and the SHOOTO orginization).

    2. Most the white guys in MMA come from a grappling background. Usually Greco Roman or Freestyle Wrestling.

My favorite part was when he accused MMA of “stealing Boxing’s blueprint” when the Unified rules were created by a Boxing commissioner using a ruleset created by the Quebec Mohawk tribe..
